In the case of scholarships for which the university has to make recommendations, in addition to students having a strong academic record, decisions regarding recommendations shall be made after assessing student’s Japanese writing and speaking skills. When applying for such scholarships, it is recommended that students use-easily read characters when preparing written documents for submission. Easily understood terms-of-phrase are also recommended. Furthermore, if the selection process involves an interview, students should pay attention to succinctly answering any questions asked.
